About Ventus Dynamics
We give homeowners the same engineering calculations that HVAC professionals rely on — so you can make confident decisions about heating and cooling equipment.
Why We Exist
Before buying a boiler, heat pump, or air conditioner, you need to know how much heating and cooling power your building actually requires. Without accurate numbers, equipment gets oversized — costing more to purchase, more to install, and more on every energy bill for years. Or it gets undersized, and rooms never reach a comfortable temperature.
We built Ventus Dynamics so that anyone can get those numbers. You know your home better than anyone — our job is to turn that knowledge into an engineering-grade calculation you can trust.
What We Calculate
Our engine performs a full thermal analysis of your building, room by room, using established engineering standards for both European and American markets:
- EN 12831 heat loss calculation and ASHRAE CLTD/CLF cooling load analysis
- ASHRAE Fundamentals and Manual J methodology with RESNET county-level climate data
- Detailed breakdown per room — transmission losses through walls, roof, floor, and windows; ventilation losses; and equipment sizing guidance
- Your data stays in your browser — we don't store your building information on our servers
How It Works
You select your region (Europe or USA), then answer a guided set of questions about your building — type, age, construction, dimensions, and room details. Our calculation engine automatically applies the correct regional standard and climate data, returning a detailed analysis in seconds. Results are shown in kW for Europe and BTU/h for the USA.
You can analyse a single room for free, or get a complete room-by-room report for your entire building with the Full Report. The PDF is designed to share with your installer — it gives them the exact numbers they need to quote the right equipment.
Good to Know
Our calculations are based on the data you provide about your building. The more accurate your inputs — wall construction, insulation thickness, window types, room dimensions — the more accurate the result. For most homes, this gives you a reliable figure to base equipment decisions on.
For complex projects (large commercial buildings, listed properties, or unusual constructions), we recommend using our report alongside a consultation with a qualified HVAC engineer.
